Carving the body

I decided right from the outset that this build would have a carved top.



Making a start. I started nice and gently making an outer ring 2.5mm deep



Then took it the full 5mm down...



Then the inner ring which slopes down to meet the out ring.



Then the cut away contours and the forearm chamfer.



Followed by the rib cage chamfer.  The heel and rear cut away contours will have to wait till the neck is glued in and then it can all be smoothed out together.



And finally after lots of sanding and scraping the body carves are finished.
